Post moulded inserts can offer significant benefits over mould-in inserts such as a reduction of in place cost, no
secondary operation to clean flash residue from threads, fewer rejects due to dislodged inserts and ease of
installation.
Expansion Inserts for hard thermosetting plastics are available in a range of thread sizes and lengths in headed and
non-headed variants, are manufactured from brass and stainless steel and are suitable for installation in hard
thermosetting plastics by simply pressing in to a pre-prepared hole. Featuring sharp diamond knurling that expands
into the hole wall during screw installation to provide good torque-to-turn and pull-out performance.
