REACH (EC 1907/2006) Compliance StatementREACH (Registration Evaluation Authorisation and restriction of CHemicals)REACH (Regulation (EC) No. 1907/2006) is a European Union regulation dated 18th December 2006 which came in to force on 1st June 2007 and had a phase in period up to 2018.REACH addresses the production and use of chemical substances, and their potential impacts on both human health and the environment. REACH aims to improve the protection of human health and the environment through the better and earlier identification of the intrinsic properties of chemical substances. This is done by the four processes of REACH, namely the Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals.Under the definition of the REACH regulations Northern Precision Limited is classified as a distributor of “articles with no intended release”. REACH requires article suppliers to inform recipients if an article contains a Substance of Very High Concern (SVHC) in excess of 0.1% by weight.We have communicated with our supply chain and analysed the materials used in our products.Our products DO NOT CONTAIN* any substances on the SVHC list.Since the complete list of SVHC will be released in stages, we will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that all our products remain compliant.SVHCs already included or pending inclusionSVHC list Number ofNumber ofrelease datesubstances addedSubstances on listAnalysis results21st January 20255247All NP products are compliant** Some legacy turned parts manufactured from free cutting steel may contain Lead up to a maximum concentration of 0.35%.Article 33 of the REACH Regulations oblige suppliers of articles containing Substances of Very High Concern (SVHC) in a concentration greater than 0.1% by weight to communicate this information to its customers.Northern Precision Limited supplies some parts that are manufactured from free-cutting leaded steel grades. These have enhanced machinability and increased efficiency. Free-cutting leaded steels can contain lead up to 0.35%.Lead - EC/List no. 231-100-4 and CAS no. 7439-92-1, was placed on the SVHC list on the 27th June 2018.
