Technical Information
Ultrasonic or Heat-Staked and Press-In style Inserts for plastics provide
strong wear resistant threads suitable for use in a range of hard, medium
and soft thermoplastics as well as thermosetting foams, thermosetting
polyester and amorphous thermoplastics.
Post moulded inserts can offer significant benefits over mould-in inserts
such as a reduction of in place cost, no secondary operation to clean
flash residue from threads, fewer rejects due to dislodged inserts and
ease of installation.
Our range includes Inserts that are suitable for installation by direct heat
or ultrasonics, press-in installation as well as an insert that is designed
for moulding in for those who prefer this method.
