Post moulded inserts can offer significant benefits over mould-in inserts such as a reduction of in place cost, no
secondary operation to clean flash residue from threads, fewer rejects due to dislodged inserts and ease of
installation.
Press-In Lock Inserts for thermoplastics are available in a range of thread sizes, are manufactured from brass and
stainless steel and are suitable for installation in soft, medium and hard thermoplastics by simply pressing in to a
pre-prepared hole. Featuring sharp fins that lock into the hole wall during screw installation to provide excellent pull-
out performance, this insert is designed for ease of installation without the associated high screw installation torque
typical of expansion inserts.
