Post moulded inserts can offer significant benefits over mould-in inserts such as a reduction of in place cost, no
secondary operation to clean flash residue from threads, fewer rejects due to dislodged inserts and ease of
installation.
Symmetrical Inserts for thermoplastics are available in a range of thread sizes, are manufactured from brass and
stainless steel and are suitable for installation in soft, medium and hard thermoplastics by heat-staking or
ultrasonics. The symmetrical design removes the issue of part orientation during installation.
