Post moulded inserts can offer significant benefits over mould-in inserts such as a reduction of in place cost, no
secondary operation to clean flash residue from threads, fewer rejects due to dislodged inserts and ease of
installation.
Inserts for thermoplastics are available in a range of thread sizes, in headed and non-headed variants, are
manufactured from brass and stainless steel and are suitable for installation in soft, medium and hard
thermoplastics by heat-staking or ultrasonics.
