Compared with competitor products, the Great Plains program's functionality helped make it the first choice for Northern Precision, which simply tweaked the software in conjunction with Mytel Systems to suit its specific business needs. Tony Mortlock points out that the use of alternative systems would have involved wholesale changes to the company's business processes. "We simply were not prepared to alter the way we work," concludes Tony Mortlock.
