Info
Resistance welding is a process by where current and pressure are used to bond two pieces of metal. Resistance
welding requires force in the bonding process. Pressure is used to hold two pieces of metal together while they are
cooling. This also allows for the metals to properly bond together. The necessary pressure for the bonding process
is typically applied by the machine or manually by the operator.
Projection weld bolts and pins feature three precision weld projections located on the head. This design allows for
attachment of the fastener from the underside of the panel. The three equispaced projections are of equal height
and diameter allowing for a properly balanced and positioned weld.
Weld bolts and pins designed for through-hole applications and are self-locating, eliminating the need for additional
jigging.
Weld bolts and pins are available in a range of thread sizes, diameters and lengths, manufactured from steel and
stainless steel and are suitable for use with compatible panel materials.
Projection weld bolts and pins require appropriate resistance welding equipment for attachment.
